Is a mitsubish lancer fast?

i just crashed my 99 camaro v6 and have to get a new car so i was wondering if a lancer is some what fast? not a evo juts a regular one. i saw the lancer on 2fast 2 ferious and that one looks fast. my friend has a 01 celica so could that beat his car? my other friend has a 91 240 sx turbo could this beat that too?
